Architecture and Engineering Occupations came in second with a share of 15% in Q4 2023, with new job postings dropping by 3% over the previous quarter.

The other prominent robotics roles include Management Occupations with a 10% share in Q4 2023, Installation, Maintenance, and Repair Occupations with a 6% share of new job postings.

Top five companies in sportcal industry accounted for 30% of hiring activity

The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q4 2023 were Amazon, ABB, International Business Machines, Nvidia, and Tesla. Together they accounted for a combined share of 30% of all robotics-related new jobs in the sportcal industry.

Amazon posted 425 robotics-related new jobs in Q4 2023, ABB 381 jobs, International Business Machines 348 jobs, Nvidia 343 jobs, and Tesla 342 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

Hiring activity was driven by the US with a 46.58% share of total new job postings, Q4 2023

The largest share of robotics-related new job postings in the sportcal industry in Q4 2023 was in the US with 46.58% followed by India (18.14%) and the UK (3.44%). The share represented by the US was eight percentage points lower than the 54.12% share it accounted for in Q3 2023.
