Orange to offer DAZN's Premier League coverage to Spanish pubs and clubs
DAZN, the international over-the-top streaming platform, has today closed its first commercial premises deal in Spain with Orange, the telecoms giant.
Under the terms of the agreement, the new linear channel DAZN fútbol will be available in Orange's television offer for venues, such as bars, cafes and restaurants.
DAZN fútbol, which costs €30 ($35.65) per month without a fixed term contract, will broadcast live and exclusive coverage of English soccer's Premier League, which DAZN holds rights to in Spain until the end of the 2021-22 season.
It means Orange is the first operator to offer the Premier League for businesses in Spain. It already offers LaLiga and the Uefa Champions League matches in Spain through similar agreements with the relevant rights-holders.
DAZN said the deal is part of its strategy to make sport more accessible for fans.
Paul Sexton-Chadwick, senior vice-president of global commercial propositions, DAZN, said: “As DAZN continues to roll out around the world, the launch of our commercial premises offering in Spain is a key part of our strategy to extend the DAZN viewing experience to the out of home market. By forming these partnerships and investing now, we’re creating affordable products and services that businesses can use to attract more people into their venues and bring people back to hospitality as the sector recovers.”
DAZN will launch its global OTT offering in more than 200 territories early next month.
