IQONIQ partners with Valencia to increase Spanish soccer footprint

Valencia, of Spanish soccer’s LaLiga, have become the third soccer club to partner with IQONIQ this month, joining the new fan engagement platform’s growing portfolio of partners.
IQONIQ will serve as the club’s fan engagement partner “to increase visibility and create synergies for future business options.”
Through the tie-up, Valenia fans will have access to several features on the platform including a loyalty programme, customised footage, in-app games, merchandise, ticket offers and memorabilia.
The deal expands IQONIQ’s growing presence in the league after it partnered with LaLiga last week in a global licence agreement and also recently became the front-of-shirt sponsor of Real Sociedad.
In April, IQONIQ teamed up with CA Sports Marketing, the Barcelona-based marketing agency, to launch into the Spanish market and help it to partner with athletes and organisations across the sports and entertainment landscape in the country, as well as activating the agreements locally.
Earlier this month, IQONIQ signed a sleeve sponsorship deal with England’s Crystal Palace, which followed on from partnerships with French clubs Marseille and Monaco.
In other sports, the platform has partnered with Euroleague Basketball, the European Handball Federation, Formula 1's McLaren team, the Drone Champions League, and Beach Soccer World Wide.
The IQONIQ app was due to launch this month, but the company has now said it will available to users from this autumn.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid have signed a new sponsorship deal with TD Systems, the Spanish technology company, until the end of the 2021-22 season.
Under a two-year agreement, the brand will serve as the club’s television technology partner.
TD
Systems also recently partnered with Alaves in a three-year deal.
