NFL continues sponsorship drive with Invisalign on board
American football’s NFL has agreed a new sponsorship deal with Align Technology, the medical device company, ahead of the upcoming season.
Under the agreement, the California-based organisation’s Invisalign teeth aligning system will serve as the league’s official clear aligner sponsor.
As part of the deal, the Invisalign brand will connect with doctors, patients, and consumers through an extended network of NFL sponsored channels and support a variety of community initiatives, including youth focused programmes.
The brand will also be featured in multi-media advertising during the NFL season as well as in the off-season, various league level events and activations, and in doctors’ in-office marketing.
In addition, Invisalign will produce officially licensed NFL club-branded aligner cases, which will be made available for all 32 teams.
The agreement builds on Align's existing sponsorship deals with 11 NFL franchises including Super Bowl champions the Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots, Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers.
This is the NFL’s second sponsorship deal in the past week after bringing Subway, the chain of sandwich outlets, on board to replace fast food giant McDonald's in the quick-service restaurant category.
Align also has partnerships with several teams in other major US sports, including the Toronto Raptors, of basketball’s NBA, and NHL ice hockey franchise the Carolina Hurricanes.
