Ex-CAA Brand Consulting head Luckman resurfaces as Allied Sports chief
Allied Sports, the US sports marketing agency set up last year, has today appointed Greg Luckman as chief executive and co-managing director.
Luckman was most recently global head of CAA Brand Consulting, the sports, entertainment, and purpose-driven marketing arm of the agency giant.
He left CAA at the end of 2019, having joined in 2011 following four years as chief executive of ESP Properties, a subsidiary agency of global advertising and PR giant WPP.
Allied Sports was established last year by Sean Barror, who assumes the position of co-managing director and chief operating officer/chief revenue officer.
Barror said: "Greg is an exceptionally dynamic leader with a proven track record for building progressive sports and entertainment marketing organisations. His unique experience and deep network will help us further build upon our early momentum and achieve the ambitious goals we have set."
Luckman added: "I am excited to join this team of talented industry leaders dedicated to creating a fresh, agile, solutions-led offering for the modern marketing world. Allied Sports is purposefully being built to connect all partners - brand marketers, rights holders, content creators and distributors – and set a new standard for audience engagement during this transformative period."
Luckman began his career at Momentum Worldwide, a unit of Interpublic, the US advertising giant, where he rose to president of the New York office.
Allied Sports has offices in New York, Los Angeles and Boston.
