Canal Plus Poland bolsters sports division with Kolodziejczyk hire
Canal Plus Poland, the pay-television operator in the country, has appointed Michal Kolodziejczyk to the newly-created role of editorial sports director.
Kolodziejczyk officially started today and is tasked with managing the work of the sports editorial team and developing new editorial formats, on both the satellite and internet platforms.
He is a journalist with over 20 years of experience, the last five as as editor-in-chief of WP Sportowe Fakty, the Polish sports website.
Kolodziejczyk will work closely with Michal Jarocki who will continue to lead the acquisition of sports rights and head up sports production. The pair report to Malgorzata Seck, vice-president of programming for Canal Plus.

Canal Plus holds domestic rights to Polish soccer's Ekstraklasa alongside TVP, the public-service broadcaster, in two-season deals worth almost 250 million zlotys ($59.3 million) per annum.
Canal Plus recently launched a new streaming platform for non-paying subscribers that will carry matches from the Ekstraklasa, which resumed this weekend following the coronavirus-enforced suspension.
