BBC to show every England game in run-up to Women's World Cup
The BBC, the UK's public-service broadcaster, is expanding its coverage of English women’s soccer in 2019, as it aims to show all England international matches live in the build-up to this summer’s 2019 Fifa Women's World Cup in France, as well as increasing its Women’s FA Cup coverage.
The broadcaster will show all England’s matches from the 2019 SheBelieves Cup (an invitational tournament held in USA this spring) against Brazil, USA and Japan on all of its platforms, both on TV and online.
The tournament has been played every year since 2016, and the BBC have shown all England's games live since its conception.
The BBC will then also broadcast and make available via its website England’s four home warm-up fixtures before the World Cup, against Canada, Spain, Denmark and New Zealand.
In addition to these pre-tournament international fixtures, the BBC will show all 52 matches from the World Cup.
Coverage of the domestic game on the BBC has also been increased. Previously, only the Women's FA Cup final was shown live, but this year both semi-finals will also be shown.
Other broadcasters of women's soccer in England, both domestic and international, include BT Sport and British Eurosport.
