Marathon, not a sprint, for Man City in betting deal
Manchester City, the newly-crowned champions of English soccer’s Premier League, have signed up Marathonbet, the international online bookmaker, as their first-ever global betting partner.
Under the multi-year deal announced today, Marathonbet will provide the match-day betting offering at the club’s Etihad Stadium, with branded betting kiosks, from the start of the 2018-19 season.
The company will also provide exclusive digital content themed around the first team fixtures and pre-match previews, with supporters having the chance to win ‘money-can’t buy’ experiences.
The partnership covers both Manchester City’s men’s and women’s teams.
Marathonbet is the second global partner to be announced this week, after AvaTrade, the Ireland-based foreign exchange trading company, expanded its deal with the club.
Marathonbet is a familiar presence in English soccer having been a sponsor of other Premier League clubs Manchester United and Liverpool in recent seasons.
