Eurosport Unveils Beijing 2008 Programming
Eurosport, official Olympics broadcaster, has announced its editorial coverage for Beijing 2008, the 10th consecutive Olympic Games covered by Europe's leading sports TV channel since 1992.
Eurosport's Olympic Games offer has been unveiled under the banner of 'Olympic Games Unlimited'. 'Unlimited' was chosen as the perfect expression not just of Eurosport's promise to deliver the best of sports on air, on line, on the ground and on mobile but, importantly, to reflect the core of Eurosport's attitude, unique approach and dedication to sports, and the quality of its editorial and production.
Eurosport's 24/7 TV coverage is stronger than ever, enhanced by HD quality, and starting on 6 August, with the Olympic football tournament, 48 hours ahead of the Opening Ceremony.
Beijing 2008 will also be covered in depth on Eurosport's websites with extensive LIVE written commentary, results and reports as well as LIVE streaming of the Eurosport channel during Beijing 2008 through the "Eurosport Player", currently being rolled out across Eurosport's territories. Eurosport Mobile will also enable you to catch Live results and data, wherever you are.
Unlimited coverage: 24/7, LIVE, Prime Time, in Standard and in High Definition
Eurosport will broadcast 400 hours of coverage, 24 hours a day, with 15 hours a day LIVE from Beijing from 03:00 to 18:00, including Mission to Beijing Live show at 17:00, a review of the best action of the day commented by one of the great athletes of that day.
From 18:00, despite time difference, Beijing is also in prime time on Eurosport. Viewers will enjoy time-shifted competitions, plus "Beijing Express", a 1-hour complete round-up of the day at 19:30, and all the main events repeated up to 03:00.
