Tennis’ Swedish Open Gets New Title Partner Synsam
Synsam will be the new title Partner for the ATP Tennis Tournament Swedish Open Bastad. Synsam is the biggest optician chain store in the nordic contries and the market leader in glasses and contact lenses with over 300 shops, 150 of them in Sweden. Swedish Open Bastad have signed a contract implying that Synsam will be Title Partner for the tournament during the period 2003 – 2006, prolongation optional.
‘We are already sponsors for Swedish Open Bastad and are delighted to become Title Partner for an event of great public interest and many positive values,’ says Gunnar Harborn, Managing Director for Synsam.
As from 2003 the new name for the tournament will be Synsam Swedish Open.
‘Perfect eye sight goes hand-in-hand with sport at top level and during Swedish Open Bastad in July sun-glases are a must something we will focus on during events and drives in connection with the tournament,’ states Harbom.
Synsam’s co-operation with top level athletes goes back a long way. The goal is to develop tailor-made solutions which improve the eye-sight of the athlete and thus increase his or hers chances of achieving top performances. One example is the co-operation during several Olympic games with SOK, the Swedish Olympic Committee.
‘Synsam is a strong trademark and a fine concern and – naturally – we are proud that they now increase and strengthen our co-operation and become a new, stable Title Partner,’ says Tournament Director Thomas Wallén.
The organizers, PR Event, are entrusted with the task of organizing Swedish Open Bastad right up to 2010 and in order to be able to continue the positive development of the event, it is important to have a long-time strategy and partners like Synsam.
