LAUSANNE, Switzerland – SportAccord Convention today announced Nielsen Sports as the Official Research Provider for the Convention taking place in Aarhus, Denmark from 2 – 7 April 2017. As an Official Provider, Nielsen Sports, a leading source of sports measurement, analytics, insights and consulting solutions, will conduct a survey to help paint a better picture of the wider sports industry when it comes to delivering successful sports events and fan engagement.
David Lucas, Head of International Federations at Nielsen Sports, said: “We’re delighted to be working alongside SportAccord Convention for another year as the event’s Official Research Provider. The week-long Convention is the perfect setting for federations, host cities and agencies in the space, to get a better idea of how our analytical power and expert insights can further their efforts to grow sport around the world. Lucas went on to say:
“Nielsen Sports will be on hand throughout the week and the delegate survey will help to give a clearer sense of the industry, its challenges and its opportunities as seen by respondents today.”
Open to international federations, national federations, host cities, independent advisors and consultants, regional and national governing bodies, tourism authorities, event organisers and sponsors, the results will help to illustrate the current challenges and opportunities facing federations and host cities today.
Delegates can share their insights on the challenges and opportunities that face federations and the hosting of sports events, and complete the short survey prepared by Nielsen Sports. The results of the survey will be revealed at the International Federation (IF) Forum taking place in November 2017.
Nis Hatt, Managing Director of SportAccord Convention said, “We are delighted to welcome Nielsen Sports on-board as the SportAccord Convention Official Research Provider. As one of the global leaders in data metrics and analysis, this survey will take the pulse of the sports industry and provide delegates with a great opportunity to share up-to-the-minute insights on their experiences today.”
