FIFA, UEFA, adidas and a number of other world-class organisations have confirmed their return to the second edition of the pioneering international career fair focused on the sports industry.

Lausanne, 29 January 2018

After enthusiastic feedback across the board from recruiters, participating schools, students and alumni following last year’s event, the iWorkinSport Job Fair is back for its second edition!

On 18th May, the SwissTech Convention Center in Lausanne, Switzerland, will host the iWorkinSport Job Fair. The event debuted last year as the first international career fair focused on the sports industry, enabling some of the most renowned organisations in the marketplace to meet, interview and recruit students and alumni from the most prestigious sport management courses in Europe.

World-class sports organisations such as FIFA, UEFA, adidas, Infront, Soccerex, Sportcal, mycujoo and others will be in attendance, recruiting at the event.

mycujoo, a thriving and exciting sports technology start-up based in Amsterdam, made a number of hires as a result of the last edition and decided to return in 2018 as a sponsor of iWorkinSport.

Pedro Presa, mycujoo’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “We were very impressed with last year’s iWorkinSport! For a growing company like mycujoo, it is crucial to have access to quality hires from the world of sports. At iWorkinSport, due to the excellent organisation and the standards of the academic partners, institutions and companies represented, we found that quality. We are looking forward to finding it again this year.”

iWorkinSport is more than just a recruitment platform!

The career fair is the perfect place for recruiters and HR professionals to exchange knowledge and to promote “what it’s like to work at their companies” to a qualified audience. As an important addition to this year’s programme, the recruiters from various companies will now be invited to take part in a special Recruiters Networking Session, on the evening of the 17th May, which will be followed by a dinner with the representatives of the Academic Partners.

All Academic Partners that participated in the inaugural job fair – CIES’s the FIFA Master, AISTS, the Johan Cruyff Institute, the University of Liverpool’s Football MBA, and the EU Business School – approved the event and have signed up to come back, and others will join.

The Recruiters’ feedback was also extremely positive:

100% of the Recruitersrated the event either Excellent or Good;

50% saidthat it exceeded their expectations, while the other 50% said it met their expectations;

Over a dozen candidates were hired as a result of their attendance at the event.

iWorkinSport Job Fair is co-organised by ENGAGE Sport & Entertainment, a Swiss-based events company, and the sports innovation network ThinkSport. The 2018 edition of the event has the support of the International Centre for Sports Studies – CIES (Gold Partner), WORKS Ltd (Design Partner), Wiz-Team (Event Registration Partner), and of the local hosts, City of Lausanne and the State of Vaud.
