Today Telefonica, one of the world’s largest telecommunications companies announced it would be a major sponsor for a Spanish entry into the 2005 Volvo Ocean Race. The news coincides with the announcement that Galicia, Spain will host the start of the 2005 event – the area stricken a year ago by the Prestige Oil disaster.
