The Fifa World Cup is a soccer competition that occurs every four years and is contested by 32 national teams. The first edition was played in 1930, in Uruguay, and has since been hosted in five continents. The competition is now considered to be one of the largest sporting mega-events and as a result is able to attract some of the biggest brands to sponsor it.
