New-look name and logo for rebranded Wasserman agency
Wasserman Media Group, the US sports and entertainment agency, is to become known simply as Wasserman after a rebranding initiative.
The company, founded in 2002 by chairman and chief executive Casey Wasserman, said the change reflects its evolution from a sports sponsorship and management agency into one which now deals with all aspects of culture from entertainment and tech to lifestyle and media.
As well as a name change, there is a new logo, colour scheme and website.
The rebrand was led by Denise Durante, Wasserman’s chief marketing officer, a newly created position at the agency.
Wasserman said: “Sports has been a powerful driver of lifestyle, and we have leveraged those roots to expand far beyond to meet our clients’ ever-changing needs in today’s marketplace.”
The agency, which now represents over 1,500 athletes, recently acquired California-based The Sports Syndicate, which has clients from action sports, motorsports, endurance sports and Olympics disciplines.
