Real Madrid in strategic partnership with PlayStation

Real Madrid, the champions of Spanish soccer’s top-tier LaLiga, have entered into a strategic partnership with PlayStation, the popular games console brand operated by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
The PS4 and PS5 games consoles will be the official games consoles for all Real Madrid’s representative teams, including men’s, women’s, youth and basketball sides.
The new PS5 launches worldwide on 12 November, and, as part of the new tie-up, there will be special features for the Real Madrid team on the PS5 version of the ‘FIFA’ video game.
Liliana Laporte, the general manager for Iberia, Mediterranean, Adriatic and Balkans at SIE PlayStation, said: “We’re really happy to be announcing this strategic partnership between PlayStation and Real Madrid, which sees both brands put all their efforts into offering millions of people a great many hours of entertainment, both on the traditional sports field and virtually.”
In July this year, Real Madrid renewed their partnership with EA Sports, the developer behind FIFA, in a multi-year deal.
EA Sports first signed up to become Real Madrid’s exclusive and official video game partner in 2015, enabling the team and its players to feature prominently in the FIFA games.
Real Madrid continues to be one of the most played clubs in the game, with LaLiga clubs being used more than 1 billion times in the latest edition.
