Bigwood and Bowley beef up Deltatre's commercial team
Deltatre, the global sports and entertainment media technology provider, has added two experienced executives to its commercial team by hiring Adam Bigwood and Adam Bowley.
Bigwood (pictured right) formerly of World Wrestling Entertainment, will be a director in its commercial division. He will be responsible for managing the accounts of key over-the-top clients, and will report to Pete Burns, vice-president of commercial.
While at WWE, Bigwood worked as director of international operations for the Middle East and North Africa region. Before joining WWE, he worked for OSN, the Middle East pay-television network.
Bowley (pictured left) joins from Norwegian broadcast tech company Sixty, where he spent two years in various business and product development functions. He counts international OTT platform DAZN and the UK pay-TV provider Sky as former employers.
He was involved in DAZN's launch in Japan, and across Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
Bowley will be in charge of Deltatre’s UK-based clients, and will be based in London.
Andrea Marini, the deputy chief executive and chief commercial officer at Deltatre, said: “These hires signal that even at this very difficult time, Deltatre is committed to helping clients offer the best service to their users.
“I’m certain their knowledge will help Deltatre to foster new relationships across the industry, helping more partners reach their fans.”
Last month, Deltatre hired James Johnson, formerly of Major League Baseball, as vice-president of Americas business development for its Live Division.
In September 2019, MLB hired Deltatre as its new technology partner, and Johnson will be responsible for growing the adoption of Deltatre’s live production, broadcast and digital services across the US, Canada and Latin America.
Deltatre is 75 per cent owned by Bruin Sports Capital, but the international sports and entertainment investment company said late last year that it was considering a sale of the group.
