CHL elects Czech representative to board until 2021
The Champions Hockey League, the pan-European ice hockey competition, has elected the Czech Republic's Petr Syrovatko to its board.
Syrovatko (pictured), the vice-president of Bílí Tygři Liberec, represents the Czech founding clubs on the CHL board, and will serve the remaining two years of Petr Bříza's term.
Bříza has stepped down a year after he was re-elected until 2021.
Syrovatko was elected at the sixth CHL general assembly in Prague by the league's 33 shareholders, made up of the 26 teams, the six founding leagues (Sweden, Finland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Czech Republic) and the International Ice Hockey Federation.
Marketing rights to the CHL are held by the Infront agency until 2023.
