PGA Tour and Trifecta in multi-year deal
Golf’s PGA Tour has signed a new multi-year marketing partnership with Trifecta Nutrition, the US organic meal delivery service, in which it will become the official meal delivery of the PGA Tour, PGA Tour Champions and the Web.com Tour.
Under the agreement, Trifecta will activate the partnership by offering a nutritional support programme to eligible PGA Tour players. Trifecta's culinary chefs will also create custom meal plans for Tour players at all tournaments worldwide.
In addition, Trifecta will also invest annually in Tour-owned media and licensed media and have access to endorsement rights for Tour players.
Brian Oliver, the PGA Tour's executive vice president of corporate partnerships, said: “Our athletes understand the important role nutrition plays in their competitive performance, career longevity and overall well-being. For any PGA Tour member who chooses to participate, Trifecta will create a nutritional program to help them compete at a world-class level.”
Trifecta also became the first-ever official meal delivery partner for UFC, the mixed martial arts series owned by Endeavor, last year in a five-year sponsorship deal worth close to $10 million.
Trifecta is also a title sponsor of Team USA Weightlifting.
This is the latest sponsorship agreement secured by the PGA Tour this month, following on from a multi-year marketing partnership with Meiomi Wines, the US wine brand.
