Prosecco brand to be sprayed at MotoGP events
Consorzio Prosecco DOC, the Italian sparkling wine brand, has signed up as an official supplier of motorcycling’s MotoGP World Championship in a three-year deal.
The new agreement with series promoter Dorna Sports, which comes into effect ahead of the 2019 season, will involve bottles of wine being presented to the riders for podium celebrations after the racing.
In addition, Consorzio Prosecco DOC will have a significant presence at the MotoGP VIP Village at each event, and trackside advertising at five grands prix, in USA, Germany, San Marino (Rimini), Japan and Australia, with products available at the events.
The deal builds on the relationship that has been in place between Consorzio Prosecco DOC and Dorna since 2013 covering the international circuits of the Superbike World Championship.
The MotoGP season gets under way with the Grand Prix of Qatar on 8 to 10 March, and the first event to feature the spraying of the sparkling wine will be the Grand Prix of Argentina on 29 to 31 March.
