Uefa invites offers from outside British Isles to sell Euro 2020 hospitality
Uefa has today launched the tender process for official hospitality sales agents outside the UK and the Republic of Ireland for the 2020 European Championships.
In a first for the tournament, the event is taking place in 12 cities across Europe, with seven of the 51 matches, including the semi-finals and final, to be played at Wembley Stadium in London (pictured).
The tender process for the UK and Irish market was launched earlier this year.
European soccer’s governing body said today: “Uefa is looking to provide corporations, businesses and individuals with a high quality and attractive hospitality offering at Uefa Euro 2020 matches and wishes to select one or several company(ies) with whom to market and sell the Uefa Euro 2020 Official Hospitality Packages in specific countries – outside of England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
“The selected company(ies) will be responsible for marketing the Uefa Euro 2020 Official Hospitality Packages on an exclusive or non-exclusive basis in its country/countries (Territory).”
Candidates have been given a deadline of 22 November to submit expressions of interest, and those approved will receive the request for proposals within a week of that date.
Offers must be submitted by 17 January 2019, with evaluation, clarification and the selection of proposals to begin on 28 March. Suppliers will be appointed from 1 June onwards.
The invitation to express interest document is available here.
The tender process follows the decision taken by Uefa to take Euro 2020 hospitality sales in-house after it rejected bids for global packages put on the market in the second half of last year.
