Belgium's Pro League in first league-wide blockchain deal

The Pro League, which oversees the top two divisions in Belgian soccer, has become the first professional soccer league in the world to partner with a blockchain platform.
The league has teamed up with Sorare to market cryptotrading cards of soccer players within the 16-team elite Jupiler Pro League and eight-team, second-tier Proximus League,
Users will be able to buy crypto-collection cards of their favourite players, trade them with other Sorare users through an auction mechanism and play with them on the platform.
The value of the crypto-cards will either increase or decrease depending on the performances of the players on the pitch.
Sorare said it expects to announce deals with other European leagues and clubs in the next few months.
