Laola1 Multimedia, the digital services provider and operator of the Sportradar-owned sports portal, has hired Markus Blümel to an advertising and sales position.
The 41-year-old Blümel has taken up the role of head of advertising and sponsorship sales, and will focus on the Austrian market.
He recently left a sales role at Styria, the Austrian media group, and spent 12 years at Rapid Vienna, the top-tier Austrian Bundesliga side, before setting up his own sports marketing agency.
Speaking about his new position, he told Horizont, the marketing and advertising publication: “Working close to the customer and with a high level of service orientation, we will work intensively on creative and innovate marketing solutions.”
Dominik Beier, a member of the management at Laola1 Multimedia, remarked: “An important basis for the success of Laola1 is the ongoing development of our sales team. I am delighted to have been able to secure Markus Blümel, an experienced expert with extensive online and offline expertise, who will give new momentum to our work with customers and partners.”
