Beijing 2022 in market for tier-two domestic sponsors
Beijing 2022, the organising committee of the next winter Olympic Games, has begun the search for tier-two, official sponsors, after landing eight tier-one domestic partners in 18 months.
The organising committee said it is initially seeking brands in the beer, logistics, staple food/cooking oil, agriculture and culture/events categories.
Beijing 2022 hopes to complete the official sponsors roster by June 2019, with the search for tier-three, official exclusive suppliers and tier-four, official suppliers to begin mid-way through next year.
Late last month, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and Sinopec, the Chinese state oil and gas company, became the seventh and eighth tier-one partners on board, joining: Bank of China (financial services); Air China (carrier), Yili Group (dairy products); Anta (sports apparel); China Unicom; (telecommunication services); and Shougang Group (urban regeneration services).
