NLL to be live-streamed on CBS’ OTT service
North America’s National Lacrosse League is to receive even more live and on-demand coverage in USA after it struck a deal with CBS Sports Digital, an arm of the national network.
NLL games will be live-streamed and available on-demand on CBS’s over-the-top platform SportsLive.
The deal covers regular-season and play-off games.
SportsLive is available on computers, laptops, mobile phones, tablets and on Roku streaming devices at a cost of under $10 per month.
That platform airs coverage of college sports as well as niche professional competitions.
Nick Sakiewicz, NLL commissioner, said: “We are thrilled to continue to build upon our historic broadcasting partnerships with the addition of CBS Sports Digital. The future of sports is an ever-changing digital viewing experience, and bringing in a world class organisation and platform like CBS Sports Digital is truly exciting for our fans. Last season we witnessed the additions of some major broadcasting partners and as a result more viewers are tuning in to NLL TV than ever before.”
In March, the NLL signed a two-year deal with Twitter to live-stream matches on the social networking platform.
A weekly live stream is available to users in USA and Canada.
