Dafabet adds Leicester to soccer sponsorship portfolio
Dafabet, the Philippines-based sports betting company, has expanded its presence in soccer after striking a deal with Leicester City, of English soccer’s Premier League.
Under the two-year agreement, Dafabet becomes the official betting partner of Leicester from the start of this season, which starts this evening with the 2015-16 champions in action at Arsenal.
Dafabet branding will be visible on advertising boards and interview backdrops at Leicester's King Power Stadium.
Harj Hir, Leicester's head of partnership engagement, commented: "We have a fan base of more than 10 million supporters around the globe on our social media channels – the seventh largest in the Premier League, and in partnership with Dafabet, we look forward to using this platform to work together towards achieving our collective goals through engagement.”
Dafabet already has tie-ups with another Premier League club Burnley and lower-tier English outfits Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers.
The betting company is also the front-of-shirt sponsor of Celtic, the defending champions of the Scottish Premiership, in a deal that runs to the end of the 2020-21 season.
