Aspiring Bournemouth appoint Two Circles to develop revenue streams
AFC Bournemouth, of English soccer’s Premier League, have brought in Two Circles, the UK-based data-driven agency, to deliver a new digital platform to engage with fans, partners and stakeholders.
The platform is intended to leverage digital assets to enhance marketing activity and commercial performance.
Two Circles, which is owned by ESP Properties, a subsidiary of global advertising giant WPP, will also implement a new data management infrastructure to support Bournemouth’s marketing and fan engagement work.
The south coast club is coming towards the end of only its second season in England’s top flight and the partnership with Two Circles is seen as necessary to help take it to a new level in commercial terms.
Bournemouth commercial director Rob Mitchell said: “When you arrive in the Premier League every aspect of the club has to up its game. With the help of Two Circles we are already taking the next steps to develop and improve our revenue streams from both existing and new sources.
“Two Circles has provided us with invaluable insight which is designed to ensure that our commercial operations keep pace with our step up to the top flight.”
Two Circles already works with soccer clubs including Premier League outfit Liverpool and Spain’s Valencia.
Alex Gummer, lead consultant at Two Circles, said: “We are delighted to be working with another top Premier League club and look forward to developing our relationship. Bournemouth have been one of the real success stories in recent seasons and the Club is clearly determined to keep moving forward.
“We are working together to meet their commercial ambitions through maximising the Club’s digital assets and providing the Club with a strategy that will benefit them and their fans.”
