Spanish beer brand Mahou Cinco Estrellas has renewed its long-running sponsorship agreement with the country’s soccer giants Real Madrid until the end of the 2018-19 season.

Eduardo Petrossi, managing director of Mahou San Miguel, said: “We are very happy with the deal we have reached with Real Madrid. This is an historic partnership we have had since 1902 and it is more than just sponsorship. Mahou cannot be understood without Real Madrid and vice versa".

Last month, Mahou Cinco Estrellas extended its sponsorship of Spanish soccer’s top-tier LaLiga in a new three-year deal running to the end of the 2019-20 season. 

Mahou has been a sponsor of the Spanish top flight since 2006, and also supports 11 leading clubs, including Atlético Madrid.
