Turkish Airlines Support Archers
Lausanne (SUI) – 9 April 2009 The International Archery Federation (FITA) is delighted to announce a new benefit in the scope of the Turkish Airlines - FITA partnership.
Turkish Airlines would like to support archers when they are travelling to competitions. All national team archers will be allowed extra luggage of 12 kg free of charge for their archery equipment.
This offer is valid on Turkish Airlines flights during the partnership with FITA. Turkish Airlines have been the Official Airline of FITA since the beginning of the Archery World Cup in 2006. The current agreement runs until the 1st of April 2010 with an option for renewal.
“We are very pleased with this announcement. This shows that Turkish Airlines is a true supporter of archery and this will really help our archers travelling to international competitions. We are happy that our partners like Turkish Airlines really involve themselves in our sport”, said FITA President Prof. Dr. Ugur ERDENER.
