The FIM & Dorna Sports sign a TV partnership

Motorcycling - 16 Jan 2015

The FIM is pleased to announce the signature of a two-year partnership with Dorna Sports for management of the TV rights for the Championships promoted by the FIM.

This agreement will come into effect at the start of 2015 and will concern the FIM Trial, X-Trial, MOTUL Ice Speedway, Speedway GP Challenge, Sidecar and Cross-Country Rallies World Championships and the FIM International Six Days’ Enduro.

After the signature, FIM CEO Ignacio Verneda, welcomed this new arrangement: "I am very satisfied with the agreement signed with Dorna Sports which will enable the championships managed directly by the FIM to be broadcast more widely. We also hope to be able to help the organisers and riders to find sponsors and to pursue the development of our championships."

Manel Arroyo, Managing Director, Media and TV Area, Dorna Sports added: "We are very pleased that the FIM have again demonstrated their trust in Dorna with these distribution rights. It's always a key goal of ours to promote various championships and to do whatever we can to further increase the profile of motorcycle racing."
