Rugby Football League Appoints Official Travel Agent
The Rugby Football League has appointed Specialist of Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, to be their official travel agent. The Board of Directors gave clearance for the sports travel specialists to be responsible for the RFL's overseas and domestic travel arrangements.
The Hebden Bridge company, who have been responsible for travel with many other sports including Rugby Union and cricket, have already started work on the arrangements for the England under 16 and under 18 team tour to Australia and New Zealand next month.
Dave Callaghan, the Rugby Football League's Executive Director of Communications said: 'With Rugby League's increased international commitments it is important that the Rugby League has an experienced travel company to ensure that our teams have a trouble free, smooth running trip, giving our coaches and players the opportunity to concentrate on playing Rugby League.
Callaghan added: 'We are delighted to confirm this appointment and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship at a time when the game is very keen to restore its international reputation.'
Alan Davis, Managing Director, said 'We are delighted to have formally concluded our agreements with the Rugby League. The World Class programmes, international travel and athletic needs of the players offers us an exciting opportunity to assist in the planning and logistics for the Rugby Football League.
