Nissan Appointed Official Vehicle Supplier for Gillette Tri-Nations Tournament
Nissan have been appointed as official vehicle supplier to Rugby League’s Gillette Tri-Nations tournament.
The agreement is the first time the motor company have been involved in the sport of Rugby League.
The company which produces a wide range of vehicles including the Micra and 350Z sports coupe will also provide a number of Nissan X-Trail 4x4 vehicles for use by tournament operations staff, which will be specially branded in the colours of the competing teams.
They will also be displaying the X-Trail vehicle at all Gillette Tri-Nations fixtures.
Commenting on the agreement, the Rugby Football League's Commercial Director Paul Kimberley said: 'As a prestigious international brand, we believe Nissan will be tremendous partners during the Gillette Tri-Nations.
'The tournament is a first for international Rugby League and Nissan's involvement is a clear demonstration of its value and reach'.
Kimberley added: 'We look forward to our partnership and we are confident that Nissan will benefit from their relationship with the sport'.
Nissan’s Sales Promotion Manager Anita Scarlett added: 'We are delighted to work with the Rugby League on this promotion and look forward to being part of an exciting international tournament'.
