New Rugby League Origin Game Attracts Sponsors
The Origin Game between Yorkshire and Lancashire is receiving tremendous sponsorship support from a number of major companies.
The Yorkshire and Humber Regional Development Agency, Yorkshire Forward is the main event partner (Tuesday 5th June, Headingley Stadium, KO 8.00PM).
The regional brand ‘Yorkshire Alive with Opportunity !’ will be widely displayed within Headingley Stadium on the evening of the game.
Graham Hall, Chairman of Yorkshire Forward, said,
'We are delighted to sponsor this event and feel it is a great opportunity to prove that Yorkshire’s competitiveness and drive for success extend far from the Boardroom.
'As with all sporting clashes between Yorkshire and Lancashire, expectations are high and we relish the opportunity this 80 minutes of Rugby League gives us to prove once again that Yorkshire is and will always be the best.'

Yorkshire Building Society - the county’s leading mutual society - are sponsors of The Yorkshire Origin team. Their logo will be displayed on the chest of the Yorkshire shirt.
Commenting on their sponsorship, Chief Executive David Anderson said,

The Manchester Evening News are the sponsors of the Lancashire Origin side. The MEN Sport logo will appear on the Lancashire team shirt and the paper will promote the match in the build-up.
