New Commercial Director Joins Rugby Football League
Paul Kimberley is today joining the Rugby Football League to take up the position of Commercial Director.
Paul has gained experience in the area of sponsorship through six years within professional golf's PGA European Tour as well as work within Premier League soccer (Leeds United FC) and Premiership Rugby Union (Rotherham
Titans).
He will be leading the organisation's efforts to further develop income through the sport's varied and valuable commercial and sponsorship properties.
Commenting on the appointment, the Rugby Football League's Executive Chairman Richard Lewis said: 'Paul Kimberley brings a tremendous amount of experience and success gained at a high level within the sports industry and
his appointment is a significant one for the RFL and the sport as a whole.
'We believe he can make a valuable contribution to this important area of our organisation and look forward to working alongside him'. Lewis added: 'The creation of Paul Kimberley's role demonstrates that the RFL is successfully growing as the sport itself expands and develops on
several fronts'.
