Morley banned for crucial games

Rugby league - 22 Mar 2000

Leeds Rhinos have been dealt a blow in their bid to retain the Challenge Cup with the 3 match ban of Great Britain forward Adrian Morley. The Rugby Football League disciplinary committee found him guilty of a reckless high tackle on Wigan's Simon Haughton during last Sunday's defeat at the JJB Stadium. Morley will miss the semi-final Cup match against Hull on Sunday and two further league matches. Leeds have yet to announce whether they will lodge an appeal.
