Major Manufacturers Line-Up For World Leading International Sports Security Summit ‘05

Sector leading security systems manufacturers Siemens and Bosch will be among the exhibitors when the most influential decision makers in the $6 billion-a year- sports security sector meet for the second International Sport Security Summit in October.
 
International Sport Security Summit 2005 will be staged at the International Olympic Committee’s Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland on the 19th and 20th October.
 
Its fast-growing speaker line up includes many of the leading practitioners in sports security and those whose experience and insight shapes strategy and determines the procurement requirements for sports events ranging from domestic competitions to world championships.
 
Peter Ryan, who masterminded security at the Sydney Olympic Games of 2000 and is the International Olympic Committee’s retained security consultant heads a list of speakers, which includes representatives of the United Nations, FIFA, UEFA, the ICC Cricket World Cup, the State of Mississippi Department of Homeland Security, the University of Mississippi and a range of police and intelligence services as well as sports federations risk sector specialists.
 
Delegates will be welcomed to the International Sports Security Summit by Gilbert Felli, Director General of the Olympic Games who will inaugurate two days of presentations, discussion and debate on the major issues facing those responsible for ensuring security at sports events. His keynote will set the agenda for two days of highly instructive presentations, debates and discussions focussing on the security issues facing those responsible for major sports events.
 
International Sports Security Summit ’05 will focus on the continuing security challenges facing event owners, managers, promoters and their partners and associates in local and national government and the intelligence and security services.
 
Its objective is to provide an intensive knowledge and experiencing sharing opportunity.
 
Building on the success of the inaugural event in London last year, International Sports Security Summit ’05 will be the world’s leading forum for discussion and information sharing among all those whose roles involve organising, sanctioning, bidding for or policing sports events.
