Ladies' Swiss Open to Return to Schedule in 2006
(Cheshire, England October 26 2004) The Robe di Kappa Ladies European Tour (LET) announced today that with the cooperation and sponsorship of financial giants Deutsche Bank, the Ladies’ Swiss Open will return to the tournament schedule in 2006.
The Deutsche Bank Ladies’ Swiss Open will carry a minimum prize fund of €500,000 in a four-year agreement brokered with the LET.
The inaugural event will be played between May 18-21 2006 at the stunning venue of Golf Gerre Losone which is conveniently nestled at the foothills of the Swiss Alps between Locarno and Ascona, easily accessible from all over the Canton Ticino thanks to the Mappo-Morettina tunnel.
Ian Randell, chief executive of the Robe di Kappa Ladies European Tour, was delighted to announce the event at a press conference in Switzerland:
'We are thrilled to be working with Deutsche Bank, Fairway Marketing and Golf Gerre Losone on this tournament which I am sure will be one of the highest quality events on our schedule,' said Randell.
'Having a global brand such as Deutsche Bank, which has a proven record of successful golf sponsorship choose the LET as a vehicle in which to expand their existing sponsorship is further evidence of the growing stature of the Ladies European Tour.'
