Artistic Gymnastic Championships Changes Date and Venue
Moutier (SUI) and Indianapolis, Ind. (USA): The USA Gymnastics Federation (USA Gymnastics) announced today that the dates of the 36th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships 2003 have changed from a November schedule to an August timeframe.
As a result of this date change, the decision has been reached to relocate the event from Indianapolis (Headquarter of USA Gymnastics) to the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim / Los Angeles. The proposed dates for the competition will be August 16-24, 2003. These dates have to be confirmed by the FIG Executive Committee.
This will be the first major gymnastics competition in the Greater Los Angeles area since the 1984 Olympic Games.
