Hull appoint Away Suporters Liaison Officer
Hull F.C. today announced another step to ensure the Boulevard will become a user-friendly haven for all supporters. The Club intends to employ an Away Supporters Liaison Officer. The brainchild behind the scheme is local fan Dave Dosdale who wrote to the Club offering his help
following the aftermath of the last Sunday's semi final against Leeds Rhinos at the McAlpine Stadium in Huddersfield. Dave has agreed to take the post, he has been a supporter for 25 years and has only missed 3 home games during that time.
The Liaison Officer will be on hand to assist away supporters to make their day at the Boulevard as enjoyable as possible. Officials at the club feel this is a unique idea, which will see all away supporters looked after in an encouraging manner. This may well prompt other clubs to follow suit.
Hull F.C. play host to the Huddersfield - Sheffield Giants at the Boulevard this Sunday and will put the new post into practice for the first time. Hull will work together with the away club and its Supporter Association to ensure that those fans who come to the Boulevard this Sunday see the first signs of change.
Ralph Rimmer, Chief Executive of Huddersfield - Sheffield Giants commented on the above saying "The Giants fully support the efforts Shane and his team have made in welcoming opposition fans and hope to take a good size support along to the Boulevard for their game on
Sunday".
