Full Grid Expected For Formula One Forum

Business - 08 Sep 2006

All 11 current Formula One teams have confirmed their intention to participate at the 2006 Motor Sport Business Forum. They will be joined by Formula One’s future 12th team Prodrive, represented by chief executive David Richards, the former team principal of BAR Honda.

Richards will sit alongside his fellow F1 team principals on the morning of the second day of the event to take part in an exclusive question and answer session about the FIA-AMD Formula One Survey, the largest and most comprehensive analysis of public opinion in motor sport. It is set to be one of the highlights of the conference programme.

The full results of that survey will be presented extensively at the Forum by AMD executive vice president and chief sales and marketing officer Henri Richard.

Richard commented: “I am delighted to be involved with this exciting event. The Forum is the perfect place to discuss the FIA-AMD Formula One Survey as it represents the largest gathering of F1’s major decision makers away from the frantic Grand Prix weekend. It will offer a unique and important opportunity for the F1 team principals to give their opinions on the Survey’s findings.”

The two-day conference and exhibition, which takes place in Monaco on 6-7 December 2006, will also welcome hundreds of delegates from major companies around the world. Companies set to attend include some of the biggest names in global motor sport:

Allianz, AMD, BMW, BSkyB, CVC Capital Partners, Intel, Fosters, DHL, Shell, Diageo, Red Bull, BMW, Ferrari, NASCAR, Emirates Group, Honda, Intel, LVMH Moët Hennessy - Louis Vuitton, RBS Group, SAP, Total-Fina-Elf, Toyota and Vodafone are just a few of the companies sending delegates to the conference.

The Motor Sport Business Forum is the must-attend event for motor sport’s global commercial community. It offers a unique opportunity to hear about new ideas, discuss sponsorship initiatives, debate current issues, network, and negotiate deals. It is an event that no professional involved in the sport can afford to miss.

This year’s Forum will take place on 6-7 December 2006 to coincide with the FIA Gala Awards Dinner.

A number of hotel rooms have been reserved for delegates at Le Meridian Beach Plaza hotel, a short walk from the Grimaldi Forum. These can be booked through the Motor Sport Business Forum. Delegates booking before 15 September will receive a complimentary room upgrade.

The hotel will also be the venue for the event’s cocktail reception, hosted by Amber Lounge.
