Franklin + Andrews Appointed on €365 Million Lansdowne Road Development

Franklin Sports Business has been appointed on the re-development of Lansdowne Road Stadium in Dublin as part of the project management team appointed by Lansdowne Road Stadium Development Company and led by Project Management Group, to provide the full range of cost management, procurement and QS services.  Franklin Sports Business will be cost managing the project in joint venture with Dublin-based quantity surveyors KMCS.

The existing stadium is to be demolished and a new iconic, world-class, 50,000 all-seater stadium is to be built at a total project cost of €365m.

Planning application for the project is to be submitted in December 2005 and, subject to planning approval, work should commence on site early 2007 with final completion mid 2009.

Ireland’s Minister for Arts, Sports & Tourism, John O’Donoghue said “We now have a team that can deliver a world-class facility that will be a vital support for sport at a national and international level.”
