Expressions of Interest are Invited from Sports Agencies Interested in Working with the World’s Official Air Sports
The sports include skydiving, hang gliding, gliding, aerobatics, paragliding, microlights, ballooning, helicopters and aero modelling. The FAI, the world air sports federation, is developing the different disciplines both as multi-sport events and as new single discipline series.
Agencies which can offer global production, broadcast and sponsorship expertise are invited to request information on the opportunity from New Zealand company Air Sports Ltd which is working with the FAI.
Air Sports has developed a series of TV sports technology breakthroughs which include real time 3D graphics, internet video encoding, stabilised helicopter camera systems and minicams combined with long distance microwave/satellite links. These specialist technologies need to be linked with a partner experienced in successful global TV sports production and distribution – from highlights packages to high end HD documentaries. HD capability is an important requirement.
Suitable agencies will have proven experience in securing strong broadcast slots on a global basis, marketing internet video streaming platforms, leveraging global branding and sponsorship opportunities and being able to play a key role in developing effective, revenue-driven strategies across a number of varied sports disciplines.
Air Sports Ltd will visit short listed agencies in the UK and Europe during late February and early March to present comprehensive background material on the project – and invite detailed proposals. The successful agency or agencies will be appointed in April, 2007.
Major multi-sport events, under new format competition rules are already scheduled for 2007 (FAI World Air Sports Challenge, December) and 2009 (World Air Games).
All requests for information should be sent to Air Sports Ltd at email@example.com
