Doping Control, Controls in Progress

Aarhus FIG Office, Sunday, 15 October 2006 : According to its policy regarding doping control and the health protection of its athletes, the FIG already conducted unexpected and out-of-competition testing, during the men’s and women’s training sessions of the se 39th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Aarhus (DEN).

Let us remember that, fortunately, the FIG remains untouched by serious doping cases for the last ten years of controls systematically carried out at official FIG events (World Cup / Series Finals, World Championships), to which we can add the random doping controls mentioned above.

With the aim of maintaining this achievement, the FIG and its Medical Commission led by vice President Dr Michel Léglise, intend to continue the battle it actively wars against doping.
