CHAIRMAN
The Motor Sport Business Forum is also proud to announce that Matt Bishop, the world-renowned Editor-in-Chief of F1 Racing magazine, will be chairing this year’s conference.
"I'm delighted to be taking on the chairmanship of the 2006 Motor Sport Business Forum,” said Bishop. “Last year's inaugural event was a great start, and I'm sure that the excellent speakers we've lined up will make this year even better. Formula One faces a host of tricky challenges these days – economically, commercially and politically – so an annual Motor Sport Business Forum is more relevant, and more important, than ever before."
All exhibitors from last year have confirmed their return. Exhibition space has doubled and is already 90 per cent booked or reserved.
The conference programme is also nearing completion. The latest speakers confirming their attendance include Michel Hodara, Chief Operating Officer of sailing’s Americas Cup and Robert Heilbron, director of Rotterdam Racing. Hodara will offer a comparison between the business of the America’s Cup and Formula One, whilst Heilbron will talk about the modern trend of bringing Formula One and other racing championships to the streets of major cities.
The Motor Sport Business Forum is the must-attend event for motor sport’s global commercial community. It offers a unique opportunity to hear about new ideas, discuss sponsorship initiatives, debate current issues, network, and negotiate deals. It is an event that no professional involved in the sport can afford to miss.
This year’s Forum will take place on 6-7 December 2006 to coincide with the FIA Gala Awards Dinner.
A number of hotel rooms have been reserved for delegates at Le Meridian Beach Plaza hotel, a short walk from the Grimaldi Forum. These can be booked through the Motor Sport Business Forum. Delegates booking before 15 October will receive a complimentary room upgrade.
The hotel will also be the venue for the event’s cocktail reception, hosted by Amber Lounge.
