Fight Sports to air HBO Boxing and the Judo Open World Championships live this weekend
Fight Sports has a packed live schedule this weekend, with two consecutive days of the LIVE International Judo Federation’s Open World Heavyweight Championships, as well as the LIVE HBO Boxing Middleweight clash between former World Champion Daniel Jacobs and Luis Arias.
The LIVE IJF Open World Championships will be broadcasted on FIGHT SPORTS in over 30 countries, including in Germany, Spain, Sweden, Japan, Thailand and Singapore to name a few. The event takes places November 11th and 12th, with the biggest individual prize money Judo has ever awarded to a single athlete – half a million Euro. Judo legend and two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Teddy Riner will be competing for his historic 10th World Title, with a new crop of top flight challengers to his crown including Olympic Silver Medalist Alexander Mikhaylin of Russia, and Olympic Bronze Medalist Ilias Iliadis of Greece, who is a 3-time World Champion returning from retirement for a one-off final appearance.
The LIVE Daniel Jacobs vs. Luis Arias Main Event headlines HBO Boxing from the Nassau Coliseum. Jacobs is returning to the ring after giving Gennady Golovkin one of the toughest fights of his career, and will face undefeated Arias as he looks to work his way into another World Middleweight Title bout. Also on the card is 19-0 Heavyweight Jarrell Miller of Brooklyn taking on top heavyweight contender Mariusz Wach.
