CFS 2017 highlight: post-conference site tour on Real Madrid Evergrande Football School

Soccer - 04 May 2017

Pioneer Sports will host China Football Summit 2017 in June 1-2 in Guangzhou. China Football Summit 2017 will be the 3rd one of China Football Summit Series as the only event focusing on the development and outlook of Chinese whole football industrial chain. Through tenacious coordination, on June 2 afternoon, Pioneer Sports is pleased to be able to have reached an agreement with Real Madrid Evergrande Football School to arrange a post-conference site tour there for all attendees. For those who target China football, it will be an unmissable, discovering and surprising tour of the school with beautiful scenery, sound football training facilities, advanced teaching philosophies and fruitful achievements.

We bring together decision makers and senior executives in global football community, acting as a platform where Chinese football businesses can learn from international mature markets, and in turn, help international football businesses gain better understanding toward Chinese football exploring new opportunities by joining hands. CFS focuses on the whole value chain of Chinese football, the breakdown of attendees is multiple sectors, including local and international player agents, clubs, associations, sponsoring brands, capitals, consulting & law firms, sports data companies, football gear manufactures, sports marketing groups, medias and etc.

In the evening of May 2nd, the UEFA Champions League semi-final local derby game with Real Madrid VS Atletico Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat trick the left him to accomplish the great record of total 400 goals in his career, not any praiseful words can be too much to phrase his great success. Then when will huge football stars as Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo arise in China? Chinese football has strong fan base, exciting matches, and solid support of policies and capitals. Yet all those are not sufficient for creating football stars and talents, football in China lacks in healthy, sustainable and effective youth training models.

Nearly every football kingdom of Europe has at least one world famous football training camp: Dutch Ajax youth training camp which has fostered a host of excellent players such as Marco Van Basten, Dennis Bergkamp, Clarence Seedorf and Wesley Sneijder; Spanish La Masia youth training camp which nurtured huge stars like Francesc Fàbregas, Messi, Xavi Hernandez Creus, Lionel Iniesta; Sporting Clube de Portugal youth training camp which created great players like Luís Figo, Cristiano Ronaldo, Luis Cunha. And Italian Juventus training camp and Premier League Southampton training camp also fostered as many talented players. Obviously youth training is the root for football sustainable development. Developing the great cause of football entails sound youth systems in place, scouting talented players and expanding football vitality.

People of insight in China understand the importance of youth training, going to great lengths to contribute their own individual efforts in the great cause of football development in China. Guangdong plays an important role in Chinese football industry, not only is it home to Evergrande Football Club and Guangzhou R&F Football Club which are 2 leading teams in CSL, but many football schools of which Real Madrid Evergrande Football School and R&F Soccer School are quintessentially most famous.

Guangdong Evergrande Real Madrid Football School was established and funded by Evergrande Holdings. As a enclosed and full-time boarding school, it is located in Qingyuan City of Guangdong Province reputed for tourism, aiming to "rejuvenate Chinese football market, nurture football stars", combining intellectual education and football training. Guangdong Evergrande Real Madrid Football School is biggest in the world with over 10,000 students enrolled in a span of 3 phases, in first of which it had 3150 students admitted. The school sets up classes of elementary, junior high and senior high levels with 435 staff, teachers and coaches in total.

To date, the teams of Real Madrid Evergrande Football School have won totally 100 titles of Championships, second places and third places including championships for Greater China U12 Training Camp, National High School Football Association Cup, National U13 Tournament, National U13 League and National U14 Tournament. The achievements of Real Madrid Evergrande Football School are well acknowledged by all walks of life of Chinese football industry. Mr. Zhong Dawei, Vice Chairman of FIFA; Mr. Wang Dengfeng, Vice Chairman of CFA, Director of leading group office of National Youth & Campus Football think highly of the original teaching model in Real Madrid Evergrande Football School after survey and study. Recently a lineup visited the school for research including Mr. Li Yuyi and Rong Zhixing Vice Chairmen of CFA. Mr. Li Yuyi gave affirmative comments about Real Madrid Evergrande Football School for its achievements in a span of 4 years. He said: “If China has 100 football schools like Real Madrid Evergrande School, Chinese football will be a different landscape. “ He also expressed his wishes that Evergrande Real Madrid School could become the Chinese football “Whampoa Military Academy.”

As a Chinese proverb goes: “a hundred storey mansion rises from School, Chinese football will be a different landscape. “ He also expressed his wishes that Evergrande Real Madrid School could become the Chinese football “Whampoa Military Academy.”

As a Chinese proverb goes: “a hundred storey mansion rises from the ground level and a thousand mile trek begins with the first step”, football schools with good teachers and sound facilities are only the first steps of rejuvenating Chinese football. In the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference this year, when asked if China has potentially 7,000 undiscovered Messi(s), Mr. Xu Jiayin, the president of Evergrande Holdings noted: “even in our football school, biggest in the world with 2,800 students, we haven’t yet spotted anyone who has the potential to be future Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo”. Football youth training in China still has a long way to go! Of course, with Evergrande and R&F guiding the way, more talents will join hands, committed to the great cause of Chinese football. The promising future of Chinese football will be clearly visible rather than blurry now.

Guangzhou is not only a resort for football youth training, but will also become where China Football Summit 2017 takes place. You will be hearing insights of senior executives and scholars, discuss the future of Chinese football, explore business opportunities across the continent. It’s your unmissable chance to stay up close to China football marketplace. Let’s meet up in Guangzhou!
