StreamAMG partners with RFEP, Spain’s Hockey Federation, to launch Ok Liga TV, the first video subscription platform with live in this sport in Spain

Rink hockey - 13 Sep 2016

London, UK – StreamAMG and RFEP, the Spanish Rink Hockey league partner in a long-term deal to launch a video subscription platform.

The online video specialist, StreamAMG, has been appointed by RFEP (Real Federación Española de Patinaje) – to launch OK Liga.TV, a live streaming and on-demand platform showcasing all games of Spain’s Rink Hockey championship.

The OK Liga championship ranks amongst the top rink hockey leagues in Europe and showcases major clubs such as FC Barcelona Lassa and HC Liceo.

StreamAMG will launch the OK Liga.TV video platform in time for the beginning of the 2016 season, which kicks off on the 24th of September 2016. The top 16 national teams will compete during 30 match days for national supremacy.

The OK Liga.TV platform will be accessible on the federation’s website and directly at www.okligatv.com.

The offer will include all live games of the OK Liga championship and Copa Del Rey games. Matches will then be available on demand and highlights will be made available for each fixture to all subscribers.

The deal brings StreamAMG’s cutting edge video technology to OK Liga, through a video subscription pay-per-view platform. The service will offer a multiple device-compatible structure with live games, on demand content and match highlights. After a free trial period, fans all around the world will stay updated with season-long games and other content via two different types of subscriptions:

•      Season pass: €37.95
•      Monthly pass: €9.95.

•      Promotions and discounts will also be available throughout the season

Through this major deal in Spain, StreamAMG continues to mark its video solutions leadership in the Sports industry across Europe. It represents another great pay-per view project for the business, further highlighting the company as a market leader in this sector.

The new offering represents a major development also in the consumption of sports online video in Spain, as fans look to engage with their clubs through digital and social media, across multiple devices anywhere in the world.

Duncan Burbidge, CEO for StreamAMG said: “If you’ve ever watched an OK Liga match, you’ll know that the seats are full of energetic fans who clearly love the sport of Rink Hockey. We want to inspire this same passion online, as we’ve done in the last year in Italian basketball and volleyball. This marks a great new service in our European portfolio and we can’t wait to see it grow.”

Xavier Moyano, General Director of RFEP said “OKLiga TV is the answer for Spanish hockey fans who wish to follow their sport. Nowadays it is key to be present in the digital sector and RFEP aims to be innovative in this industry as it clearly represents the future for major leagues such as OKLiga.

We have decided to partner with StreamAMG based on their video expertise and experience in sports all around Europe and we are really proud to launch our own video platform. We´ll work hard to meet our fans' expectations."
