Darts - 07 Dec 2021
BoyleSports, the Ireland-based betting company, has extended its title sponsorship of darts’ World Grand Prix for a further three years.
The deal, agreed with the Professional Darts Corporation, the organiser of top events in the sport, runs from the 2022 edition of the event (due to be held in October at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin, Ireland) until after the 2024 tournament.
It continues BoyleSports’ role as title sponsor, which began in 2019.
Before that, pan-European online betting and gaming company Unibet had held the role since 2016.
Matt Porter, chief executive of the PDC, said: “BoyleSports have been a valued sponsor of the PDC for many years across a number of tournaments, but the World Grand Prix is a perfect fit for them and we're delighted that they will continue as title sponsors until at least 2024.”
"The BoyleSports World Grand Prix is synonymous with Dublin and we're all looking forward to taking the event back there in 2022 for one of the highlights of the PDC calendar."
The World Grand Prix is competed by 32 players, comprising the top 16 on the PDC Order of Merit and the top 16 non-qualified players from the ProTour Order of Merit.
