British Minister Joins SportAccord Convention Line-up
LAUSANNE, Switzerland – SportAccord Convention today announced that the UK Minister for Sport and the Olympics, Hugh Robertson MP, will speak at the 10th annual SportAccord Convention in Québec City next week. The minister will join Sebastian Coe, chair of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, in an interview session on the Games of the XXX Olympiad this summer.

Completely sold out, SportAccord Convention 2012 takes place at the Québec City Convention Centre from May 20-25 with more than 830 separate organizations registered from over 70 countries. Among the 83 exhibitors will be Sport Event Denmark and Victorian Major Events Company, which have taken exhibition stands every year. The 2012 event will also be the tenth edition sponsored by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).

In keeping with the 10th anniversary spirit, this year’s conference in Canada has the general theme of “A Decade of Change, A Future of Promise.” New, previously unannounced names in a stellar speaker line-up will include Laurence Applebaum, Executive Vice President of the Women’s Tennis Association, and Thierry Borra, Director Olympic Games Management, The Coca-Cola Company.
