DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Feb. 5, 2003 – Ty M. Votaw, commissioner of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), today released the Tour’s complete 2003 schedule. Fans of the LPGA will be treated to a schedule of events consistent with 2002, one of the most thrilling and successful seasons in LPGA history, and players’ economic opportunities will be even stronger, as nearly 50 percent of the events have raised their purses for 2003.

For 2001, the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour has 33 events with television coverage already confirmed and at least four more events in final negotiations for television time. For the first time, both The Golf Channel and ESPN will mike players during their telecasts and Oxygen Media will carry an LPGA Tour event. Broadcast networks ABC, NBC and CBS will carry 10 events, with the balance appearing on The Golf Channel, ESPN, ESPN2 and Oxygen Media.
